There are three types of situations in which this occurs:

First, in artistic creativity an individual attention may become totally focused on the work that is being created.

Second, in moments of extreme threat an individual attention may become totally focused on the threat it perceives (this is a very strange part of the game, the idea of death, for of course ourself cannot cease to exist).

Third, in moments of high sexual-emotional arousal an individual attention may become totally focused on the physical and emotional sensations or on the "love object".
